Part of our MAJOR MOVING schedule.
We have sold our home and will move from Provo on April 30th. We made 3 trips with this trailer to put our belongings into storage for the two years we'll be gone. Needless to say the back of the truck was loaded with valuables, too.
On March 31st, we attended a Naga Missionary Reunion where we met three other couples who had served their missions in Naga. The information they gave us was most valuable and it has made us more excited to begin our mission.
Since we will be in charge of checking on the missionaries apartments as well as the fleet of cars (all 6 cars), we will be able to travel around our entire minimum of 4 times during our 2 year mission service. The couples that we talked to indicated that driving in the Philippines will be a new and harrowing experience, since there are no stop signs anywhere in the country, and only one stop light in the city of Naga.
The typhoon/rainy season starts in June, so we're expecting to grow webs between our toes. We have been told not to worry about taking an umbrella, as no matter what precautions you take, you are wet all of the time because of the humidity and rain. We'll just have to wait and see if that's really the case.
There's been a lot of things happening since we last posted to the blog, and it seems that the days all run together.
We'll talk again soon and give you some updates. We have just less than 2 months before entering the MTC.
